Early Clyde Families
      1859, HOOK- Isaac, 88 (1815-1903) 
      
    Isaac was born in Gloucestershire, England in 1815 and came to Victoria in 1849 by the ship 'Currie'. After being 
	  engaged for a year  at charcoal burning, he went to the diggings at Forrest Creek and Bendigo and was there for  
	  two years. Going to Clyde in 1859, he bought  160 acres of land at £.2.10.0d. per acre  and selected 
	  109 acres at £1 per acre; here he is engaged in farming pursuits. In 1865 he married widow Mrs. Christina Denham, formerly of 
    Scotland and has a family of two  children."
    Isaac Hook paid rates on a property (CA 66) located on the south western corner of Muddy Gates Lane and Patterson Road.

    Isaac Hook had one son George Robert, (1866 - 1937) married to Ethel May Reeves.
